Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
1. Introduction
We are The Auspicious Company, doing business as Auspicious and Euroradio ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), a company registered in Massachusetts, United States.
We operate the website https://euroradio.online (the "Site") and any related services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Services. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Services.
2. Information we collect
You may provide directly:
- Your email address, if you sign up for the Euroradio newsletter.
- Any messages you send us by email.
We also collect automatically:
- Aggregated, privacy-friendly usage data (pageviews, country, device type, referrer) via Datafa.st — only if you grant analytics consent.
- Standard server access logs (IP address, user-agent, request path), retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.
3. Audio streams and map tiles
Euroradio does not proxy audio or tiles. When you press play, your browser connects directly to the radio station's stream URL; that station's operator may log your IP address and user-agent according to their own policies. When the map loads, your browser fetches map tiles directly from MapTiler. Euroradio does not receive a copy of those requests.
Station metadata comes from Radio Browser, a community-maintained directory. When you play a station, we send a single anonymous click event to Radio Browser to support their popularity rankings.
4. Analytics and tracking
We use Datafa.st, a privacy-friendly analytics provider, to understand how the Site is used. Datafa.st does not sell personal data and is designed to be GDPR-compliant. Tracking is off by default and is only enabled if you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner.
We collect events such as: station play, station skip, stream error, and cluster expand. These help us improve the map, the station picks, and the playback experience.
Where the banner appears:we show the cookie consent banner to visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland (detected via your IP's country, not stored). Visitors elsewhere are not shown the banner and analytics are enabled by default. If you are outside the EEA but wish to opt out, email ari@theauspiciouscompany.com.
Your control:you can opt out at any time by clicking "Necessary only" in the consent banner or by clearing your browser's local storage. When analytics consent is withdrawn, we remove the Datafa.st script and clear its cookies.
5. Newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address with Resend, our transactional email provider. We use it only to send you Euroradio updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use the following storage on your device:
- cookie-consent(localStorage, 12 months) — remembers your consent choices.
- datafast_*(cookies, set by Datafa.st) — only present if you accept analytics. Cleared on withdrawal.
7. Data sharing
We may share information with:
- Datafa.st, only if you grant analytics consent.
- Resend, only if you sign up for the newsletter.
- Our hosting and DNS providers (Vercel) to operate the Site.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.
8. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email ari@theauspiciouscompany.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Data retention
We retain newsletter emails until you unsubscribe. Aggregated analytics are retained by Datafa.st per their policy. Consent choices expire after 12 months, after which the banner will ask again.
10. Children
The Services are not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in jurisdictions that require it). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced on the Site. Continued use of the Services after a change indicates acceptance.
